Are you ready to activate your brand new TD credit card? Unfortunately, TD Canada Trust does not currently offer an automated activation process for new credit cards. You will need to contact a customer service agent in person to completely the process.

You will need to click on the orange “Call to Activate” button. This will cause your device to dial the toll-free number so that you receive immediate assistance. You may also choose to direct-dial the toll-free customer service number at 1 (800) 983-8472 to begin the activation process.
For account holders that are outside of North America, the activation process can still be completed by dialing 1 (416) 307-7722. TD Canada Trust invites you to call collect when using this number overseas.
TTY users are invited to contact the TD Relay Service Number at 1 (800) 852-7899. Communication assistants can also be contacted at 1 (888) 561-8861 to discuss your activation needs with a customer service representative.
You may also be given specific activation information with your credit card welcoming package. You will want to follow those instructions to quickly complete the activation process successfully. If the welcoming package has been lost, you will want to call the toll-free number listed above.
What If I Need More Help with My Credit Card?
If you need help with specific aspects of your credit card that fall outside of the activation process, including merchandise, travel, or exclusive rewards, then you are invited to contact a customer service representative at 1 (866) 222-3456.
If you have a TD Bank VISA gift card, then this is the only type of credit card that can be currently activated or registered online. You can also check your current TD balance online with a TD prepaid card. You can take care of these tasks by visiting this link:
Then just click on the green button that corresponds with the task that you need to complete. If you are registering a prepaid credit card or gift card from TD Canada Trust, then the initial passcode for your new account will be the 3-digit security code that has been printed on the back of your new card.
